Deleting Scheduled Event
If at any time you wish to delete a scheduled event for recording, press the BLUE function button to
view the list of scheduled events. Use the arrow keys on the remote control to highlight the event you
wish to delete, and then press the BLUE function button again to delete it.
Deleting Recorded TV Programs
You can delete recorded files directly from the receiver. Go to the PVR menu, use the arrow keys on the
remote control to select the video that you intend to delete, and then press the YELLOW function
button to delete it.
Playback of Recorded TV Programs
TV programs are recorded in .PVR format, which may be played back using a PC with a suitable player.
Playback on DVD players is not guaranteed.
Recording High-Definition (HD) TV Programs
For recording high-definition TV programs, the version of the USB device should be 2.0 or above as
these versions support higher write speeds required for recording data-heavy high-definition content.
Activating Recording Mode After USB Device Insertion
After inserting a USB flash drive or hard drive to the receiver, do not activate recording immediately.
Please wait for a few seconds to let the receiver read the USB flash drive or hard drive first. This is to
avoid the receiver from freezing due to data read error. If in case the receiver froze, please turn the
receiver off, reconnect the USB device, and then turn the receiver back on.
Note:
We cannot guarantee compatibility (in terms of operation and/or bus power) with all USB mass
storage devices and assume no responsibility for any loss of data that may occur on the USB device
when it is connected to the receiver.
With large amounts of data recorded, it may take longer for the receiver to read the contents of a
USB device.
Some USB devices may not be properly recognized.
Even when the TV recordings are in a supported format, some
files may not play or display on an
external player such as in PCs, mobile devices and DVD players.
You may need to use an external AC/DC power adapter if the USB devices power
consumption is
larger than 500 mA. This is usually true on USB hard drive enclosures that run desktop hard drives.
Please consult your USB device’s user manual to confirm use of external AC/DC power adapter.
e. Timeshift
Press TIMESHIFT/PAUSE button first on the remote control first, then
at any time press the PLAY button on the remote control. The receiver
will start playing the recorded program from the start.
