OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. SAFETY ON/OFF SWITCH

Your switch is locked off to prevent accidental starting.

Depress lock off button (8) then on/off switch (1) and

release lock off button (8). Your switch is now on. To

switch off just release the on/off switch.

2. HAND GRIP POSITION

Always hold your saw firmly with both hands when

operating. The right and wrong ways to support large

workpieces are shown in Figures A and B.

3. FITTING AND CHANGING A SAW BLADE

Warning: Your circular saw has been

shipped completely assembled, except for

the blade, which is packed unassembled. Before

fitting you must inspect the saw blade carefully

to make sure that no breakage or damage has

occurred during shipping.

Press the spindle lock button (9), and use the hex key

(12) provided to remove the blade bolt (15) and outer

flange (16). Rotate lower blade guard (4) clockwise and

hold open using the lower blade guard lever (5) whilst

changing the saw blade (6). Ensure the blade bore is

located on the inner flange (14) and the blade direction

arrow points in the same direction as the lower blade

guard (4) arrow. Check the blade surface and flanges

are clean. Press the spindle lock (9) again and re-fit

the outer flange (16) over spindle (17) flat and tighten

the bolt with 1/4 turn more than finger tight. Check the

blade is securely clamped.

Warning: Blade teeth are very sharp.

For best cutting results ensure you use a saw

blade suited to the material and cut quality you need.

4. DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTMENT

Lift the depth of cut locking lever (10) and raise the saw

body away from the base plate (3). Set the depth of cut

using the scale (11) and push the lever (10) down to lock

(See C and D). Always add 3mm to your depth of cut so
the blade can cut through the material.

5. BASE PLATE

Adjusting the angle of the base plate (3) enables bevel
cutting (See E). The base plate (3) must always be held
firmly against the material being cut to reduce saw
vibration, blade jumping or blade breakage (See F).

6. BASE PLATE ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

Loosen two base plate bevel lock knobs (7) and rotate
the base plate (3) to set the bevel angle using the base
plate angle scale (18) provided. Then clamp the base
