Operating instructions
Note:
Before using the tool, read the instruction book carefully.
—CHARGING THE BATTERY
The battery charger supplied is matched to the Li-ion battery installed
in the machine. Do not use another battery charger.
The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharging. When the
battery is empty, the machine is switched off by means of a protective
circuit: The tool holder no longer rotates.
In a warm environment or after heavy use, the battery pack may
become too hot to permit charging. Allow time for the battery to cool
down before recharging.
When the battery is charged for the first time and after prolonged
storage, the battery will only accept approximately 60% charge.
However, after several charge and discharge cycles the battery will
accept a 100% charge.
—TO REMOVE OR INSTALL BATTERY PACK (See Fig. A)
Depress the battery pack latch to release and slide the battery pack
out from your saw. After recharge, slide it back into your drill. A simple
push and slight pressure will be sufficient. (See Fig. A)
TRIGGER SWITCH (See Fig. B1,B2)
Caution:
Inserting the battery cartridge into the tool, always
check to see that the switch trigger actuates property and returns
to the” “ position when released.(See Fig. B1)
To start the tool, depress the switch lock lever from the ” ” side
and pull the trigger switch. (See Fig. B2)
To switch ’off’ just release the switch. After use, always press in
1
the switch lock lever from” “side. The switch is a variable speed
trigger which can be used to increase the speed of the saw blade.
BLADE FITTING (See Fig. C)
Depress the blade clamp release lever, insert the blade shank into
the blade clamp through the blade guard until it stops. Ensure the
small hole in the blade is on the pin in the clamp then release the
lever. Pull up on blade to make sure that it is locked in. To remove a
blade, carry out these instructions in reverse order.
Warning: Blade teeth are very sharp.
For best cutting results
ensure you use a saw blade suited to the material and cut quality
you need.
It is possible to make cuts extremely close to floors, walls and
other difficult areas. Insert the blade shank into the blade clamp
with the blade teeth facing up (opposite to normal working
position). This will make cuts closer to the work surface.
Warning: Make sure the pendulum setting is “0 “ when using
the saw blade teeth facing up.
PIVOTING BLADE FOOT (See Fig. D)
The pivoting blade foot must be held firmly against the material
being cut to reduce saw vibration, blade jumping and blade
breakage.
PENDULUM ACTION CONTROL (See Fig. E)
The pendulum action varies the down cutting angle of the blade for
increased cutting efficiency. This can also be adjusted during no
load running. Do not use excessive blade force when cutting with
