Adjusting  the  brake  force:  Lift  the  left  /  right 

shift  rod  and  lock  it  by  the  buckle.  Rotate  nut  1 

and  nut  2  of  the  brake  lever,  so  as  to  compress 

the spring to get enough brake force. Then rotate 

nut  1  again,  ensure  that  1mm  gap  is  maintained 

between nut 1 and the rod end connector.

Drive belt replacement

 

 

Stop  engine,  wait  for  all  moving  parts  to  stop, 

and remove key or pull out spark plug lead. 

 

Remove  bolt  of  the  belt  guard  of  drive  belt. 

Remove  belt  guard.  Lift  brake  control  rod  to 

loosen  idler  pulley.  Remove  the  belt  from  the 

large belt pulley and tire. Replace with new belt. 

Reinstall all parts in reverse order.

Transmission case replacement 

 

 

Stop  engine,  wait  for  all  moving  parts  to  stop, 

and remove key or pull out spark plug lead. 

 

When  replacing  transmission  case,  remove  the 

two outer pulley guards; remove the wheel drive 

belts; remove the wheel drive pulleys.    Remove 

the  output  shaft  bearings  (2).    Remove  the 

transmission  drive  belt,  drive  pulley  bolt 

(3300198) and pulley.    Remove the transmission 

mounting bolts (3300106).    Disconnect the shift 

link.    Transfer the shift link to new transmission.   

Install new transmission case back into position.   

Reinstall output shaft bearings; leave bolts loose.   

Install and tighten case mounting bolts (3300106).   

Reconnect shift link.    Reinstall transmission belt 

and pulley and tighten pulley bolt (3300198). 

 

Finally,  tighten  output  shaft  bearings,  reinstall 

wheel  drive  pulleys,  belts  and  guards  on  each 

side. (See FIG 13)

 Shift Control Rod Adjustment

 

 

Stop  engine,  wait  for  all  moving  parts  to  stop, 

and remove key or pull out spark plug lead. 

 

Move  Shift  Control  Rod  into  neutral  position. 

Handle  should  compress  pressure  switch  button 

completely, but not so far as to hit switch housing, 

otherwise  rod  length  should  be  adjusted.  To
