
Service and Maintenance
• All service and maintenance may only be carried out with the power plug pulled out
of the electrical socket.
• When the grinding machine becomes dirty, you can clean the surfaces with a cloth.
• The grinding machine must be stored or operated in a dry and airy room. The machine
should be protected from aggressive gases. The grinding machine may not be used in
areas with a risk of explosion.
• In the event of malfunctions of the grinding machine, please contact a specialist. Do
not carry out repairs by yourself under any circumstances. Have all repairs carried out
only by specialists.
• Always use only the original accessories of the manufacturer.
Assembly
Remove the power tool from the packaging. Do not plug it into the electrical grid before
assembly.
Unpacking, Assembling and Adjusting
• Open the packaging and check whether all components are present.
• Check the grinding machine for visible defects.
• Read the operating manual.
• Fasten the grinding machine to the work space with screws.
• Adjust the upper spark guard so that the maximum distance between the grinding
wheel and the spark guard is < 2 mm. (Fig. 1 through 3)
• Adjust the workpiece support so that the maximum distance between the grinding
wheel and workpiece support is < 2 mm. (Fig. 2 through 3)
• Check that the voltage of the electrical supply complies with the specifications on
the type plate of the machine. The power plug of the grinding machine should fit the
electrical socket used. Before plugging the power plug into the electrical grid socket,
check whether the on / off switch is switched off (press the switch with the “0” marking).

Inspection of the Grinding Wheel
The grinding wheel is to undergo a ring test. Faultless grinding wheels have a clear ring
when gently struck with, for example, a plastic hammer. Whereas grinding wheels with a
fault produce a dull ring. Carry out a test run. Step out of the hazard zone and allow the
machine to run on idle for 5 minutes.
