Transport
Shut the engine off before moving, transporting or handling of the log splitter. The log split-
ter is equipped with two wheels for minor moving. Make sure that the bleed screw is closed.
MAINTENANCE
Hydraulic oil
Replace the hydraulic oil of the log splitter after every 150 hours of use as follows:
Drain hydraulic oil:
Make sure all moving parts and the log splitter
engine have stopped.
Use 10 mm spanner to loosen the steel hoop as
shown.
Place the log splitter over a container with the
capacity of at least 4 liters. Pull out the oil pipe to
drain oil.
After completion, plug in the oil pipe again and
tighten the steel hoop by spanner.
Refill fresh hydraulic oil. Make sure the level of
the refilled oil is just between 2 grooves around
the dipstick.
Following hydraulic oils or equivalent are recom-
mended for the log splitter’s hydraulic system:
SHELL Tellus 22, MOBIL DTE 11, ARAL Vitam GF
22, BP Energol HLP-HM 22.
Sharpening the wedge
After using the log splitter for some time, sharpen the wedge of the log splitter using a
fine-toothed file and smooth any burrs or crushed area along the cutting edge.
