Now that everything is fully
assembled, you can mount your
clock. Obviously I can not tell
you what fixings to take, as
each wall is different. However
the clock, including weight ,
weighs approx. 2kg-4.4lbs so
you do not need anything heavy
duty. The fixing holes distance
is 44.6cm, use a spirit level
to get the holes perpendicular.
If you have not tightened the
winding barrel on the arbor do
so now. Tie a loop on one end
of the weight string to form a
noose on the barrel as shown.
The weight falls at a rate of 47.5cm-1’ 6 11/16” every 24 hours.
So for 48 hours 65cm-3’ 1 13/32” plus the length of the brass
weight shell of 25cm-10” means the bottom of the clock has to be
1.2m-4’1 13/64” from the floor in order for the clock to run
48hrs. Each further 2cm-25/32” of fall length adds an hour onto
the run time. So if you were to hang your clock at 1.5m-4’ 11
3/32” from the floor you would have a runtime of 2 days and 15
hours.
