Up/Down Operation
This section describes operation of the up/down system with the standard controls. See
the operation section of the Setworks or Accuset manual for operation of the up/down
system using these options.
1.
Install a blade, if needed, and check for correct blade tension.

Set the cutting head to the desired height. (The blade height scale shows the height of the
blade above the bed rails.)
See Figure 4-5.
The up/down switch is located on the far right side of the control panel.
Push the switch up to raise the cutting head; push the switch down to lower the cutting
head. Hold the switch in position until the cutting head reaches the desired height, then
release.
The up/down switch is designed to return to the neutral or "off" position when released. If
the switch remains engaged, manually move the switch to the neutral or "off" position.
Repair the up/down drum switch (
CAUTION!
Always make sure the up/down switch moves to
the neutral or “off” position when released to ensure that
the saw head stops moving. Failure to do so may result in
machine damage.
CAUTION!
DO NOT try to force the carriage above the 35"
(88 cm) mark or below the 1" (2.54 cm) mark. Damage to
the up/down system may result.
