SECTION 3 SETUP AND OPERATION
3.1
Uncrating
When your Wood-Mizer Wood Splitter arrives, it will be mostly assembled. If any parts are
missing, please contact Wood-Mizer support at 1-800-525-8100.
IMPORTANT!
Install the tongue
first
to stabilize the entire unit
before unloading the main frame. The tongue serves as a counter-
balance.
See Figure 3-1.
1.
Unfasten the trailer tongue from the crate.
2.
Unpackage the trailer light wiring harness and thread it through the trailer tongue tube.
3.
Fasten the tongue to the frame with the two (2) bolts and hardware provided. The hard-
ware is on the frame.
4.
Unpack the engine manuals and key which are attached to the engine.
5.
Release the straps and chocks holding the frame to the crate and roll the unit off the
crate.
