WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
Parallel cuts (90°)
Push the cutting unit to the rear stop using the handle. Always make sure the cutting edge moves freely above the support plate. For wider
tiles, extend the fold-out supports to prevent the tile from tilting (Fig. 2.1). Then loosen the two knurled screws and pull out the parallel stop
to its maximum extended length of 300 mm (Fig. 2.2). Place the tile in the unit so it is in contact with the front stop. You can set cutting widths
from 50 – 300 mm (example = 200 mm) using the parallel stop, or you can mark the cutting width on the tile with a suitable pen. Then tighten
the knurled screws of the parallel stop (Fig. 2.3).
Scoring the tile surface: Position the cutting wheel on the tile and, using the handle, push the cutting unit all the way to the front stop while
exerting pressure on the tile (Fig. 2.4).
Breaking the tile: Swivel the handle up as far as it will go in the direction of the arrow. This automatically lifts the cutting edge above the tile.
Then pull the lever in the direction of the arrow to extend the breaking point (Fig. 2.5). The cutting edge must be positioned close to the front
edge of the tile. To break the tile, press the handle down (Fig. 2.6). The tile breaks along the scored line. Swivel the handle fully upwards in the
direction of the arrow, and press the lever in the direction of the arrow to retract the breaking point (Fig. 2.7). Using the handle, push the
cutting unit as far as the rear stop and remove the tile.
Diagonal cuts (45°), square tiles
Using the handle, push the cutting unit to the rear stop and remove the parallel stop as shown (Fig. 3.1). Align the tile so that its corner is in
the V-groove of the stop block in the unit (Fig. 3.2).
Scoring the tile surface: Position the cutting wheel on the tile and, using the handle, push the cutting unit all the way to the front stop while
exerting pressure on the tile (Fig. 3.3).
Breaking the tile: Swivel the handle up as far as it will go in the direction of the arrow. This automatically lifts the cutting edge above the tile.
Then pull the lever in the direction of the arrow to extend the breaking point (Fig. 3.4). Caution: Make sure the cutting edge is positioned fully
on the tile. To break the tile, press the handle down (Fig. 3.5). The tile breaks along the scored line. Swivel the handle fully upwards in the
direction of the arrow, and press the lever in the direction of the arrow to retract the breaking point (Fig. 3.6). Using the handle, push the
cutting unit as far as the rear stop and remove the tile.
Transport
For transporting, push the cutting unit fully to the end of the device as shown. Then dismantle the parallel stop as shown, fold in the two metal
supports and carry the tile cutter by the handle with one hand (Fig. 4)
