Roof integration - Mönch-Nonne
1. Pre-drill with Ø 5 mm bit and secure the mounting rail and timber spacers
(batten thickness less 9 mm) to the rafters with the hexagonal screws 8 x 80.
2. Affix the flashing tape, taking care to remove the protective foil only in the
area to be affixed to the mounting rail. The flashing tape must protrude on the
left and right approx. 40 cm over the flashing tape bases. If several strips of
flashing tape are used these must be joined with an overlap of at least 5 cm.
(Do not yet affix the flashing tape to the roof tiles as the collectors have yet
to be secured to the mounting rail.)
1. Insert the collector with the grub screws first into the lower mounting rail
according to the diagram and initially secure it with the M8 nut with washer
by hand.
2. Insert additional collectors likewise into the lower mounting rail.
3. Position the wooden spacers (batten height) onto the rafters at the top of
the collectors. Position the mounting rail on top of the wooden spacers and
push against the top of the collector. Initially secure the mounting rail to the
collectors with the M8 x 20 combination screws and washers by hand.
4. Drill a Ø 5 mm hole through the mounting rail and the wooden spacers
into the rafter and secure to the rafter with hexagon head cap wood screw
8 x 80.
5. Secure the flow and return fittings. Check gaskets.
6. Check for leaks in accordance with the section "Leak testing".
Install the solar lines before fitting the edging panels around the
collector array. This will allow you to check the system for leaks.
