The connection of the sales units is star-shaped: each sales
unit has a separate data connection to the WMF multicounter
(see Fig. 4).
If the WMF multicounter is switched off or malfunctions,
each sales unit remains independently functional. Sales data
for units equipped with a display can be entered and deleted
individually.
Upon installation of the WMF multicounter, registered sales
data can be transferred from the sales units to the
multicounter.
