The following information should help you to take care of malfunctions. If this should not be success-
ful, send the device to our central customer service for repair. Note the warranty information.
Fault
Remedy
A water shortage is
indicated despite a
filled water tank.
▪ Check whether the floating capsule in the water tank moves freely. If
necessary, remove foreign bodies or descale the tank.
The adjusting knob
jams well before the
symbol .
▪ Check to see whether the pad has been correctly inserted into the pad
cartridge.
▪ For 2 pads, the lower one must be firmly pressed into the recess.
▪ Tap on the coffee pad so that there is a small recess in the middle of it.
The coffee strength is
not sufficient.
▪ The more carefully you insert the pads, the better the coffee will taste.
▪ The coffee is stronger if you programme a smaller fill amount.
The cups fill equally on
the left and right.
▪ Minor differences in filling levels are impossible to avoid entirely. If the
appliance is only used for a short time, the performance improves.
▪ Check whether the appliance is on a horizontal supporting surface.
The filling quantity
is gradually getting
smaller and smaller.
▪ Always turn the adjusting knob to the right as far as possible .
▪ At regular intervals, check that the central opening of the pad cartridge
is free to avoid blockages.
▪ Descale the appliance in due time.
During brewing, no
coffee comes out and
the adjusting knob can
no longer be turned.
If the central opening of the pad cartridge is clogged, the adjusting knob is
blocked after brewing and the pad cartridge cannot be removed.
Disconnect the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down for one
hour. If the blockage has not yet been loosened in the process, there is the
option of the emergency opening:
You will need a straightened paper clip for
this. Ensure that its wire end is free of
burrs so as not to damage the seal in the
appliance.
Coffee will spray out of the appliance
that could still be hot!
Therefore, cover the wire with a kitchen
towel.
▪ You will find a small opening on both sides of the housing directly next
to the pad cartridge. Insert the wire horizontally into the most easily
accessible opening and press it lightly towards the inside. After around
3cm, the pressure will suddenly abate and a little coffee will come out.
This means that the adjusting knob has been unblocked. Remove the
pad cartridge and clean it thoroughly. In the future, check before each
brewing process whether the central opening of the pad cartridge is free
and the pads are undamaged.
