4.3.4 General

cleaning

Caution!
Possible damage to the water tank, the drip tray or the coffee grounds container!

Due to thermal effects in a dishwasher, the water tank, drip tray and coffee grounds container may be
deformed.

Therefore, never clean the water tank, the drip tray and the coffee grounds container in a dishwasher.

Empty the coffee grounds container and rinse it with water.

Empty the water tank.

If necessary, clean the water ﬁ lter and cartridge adapter.

Remove the deposits in the tank and on the adapter with a scrub brush.

Rinse the water tank with water.

If necessary, insert the water ﬁ lter and cartridge adapter.

Fill the water tank with cold tap water.

Slide the water tank into the automatic coffee machine with the lid ﬁ tted in position.

Bleeding should be carried out after removing the water ﬁ lter and cartridge adapter. Draw off hot water
until a steady water stream comes out.

Heavy calcium deposits can be removed with the WMF descaling agent. After descaling, the water tank
must be thoroughly rinsed to removed the descaling residues.

Remove the drip tray from the automatic coffee machine.

Empty the drip tray and rinse the drip tray and drip grid with water.

Re-insert the drip tray.
