In case of a leak in the hydraulic system, if the vehicle has to be driven somewhere else, take
off the drive shaft between the pump and the engine. Call maintenance facility and refer to
the Maintenance Manual

.

Tailgate Up Switch

This switch (see Figure 3-17) is used to raise the tailgate. Press it and keep it down to raise the tailgate
to the desired height.

Before using this switch, make sure that the truck is parked on safe level ground.

:

Remove both tailgate-locking pins before using this switch.

OTE

:

When the tailgate is unlocked both the in-cab buzzer (see Figure 3-19) and the backup alarm
will start sounding off. A red warning light, located on the buzzer, will also blink.

OTE

:

Each time the tailgate is unlocked, the message “Tailgate Unlocked” appears on the display
monitor.

Warning!

Do not drive the vehicle when the tailgate is not fully closed.
