1. Regularly inspect the insulation resistance between the enclosure and the winding of the electric pump, which
shall not be less than 1MΩ when the operating temperature is nearly achieved. Otherwise, the use of the pump
shall not be allowed until the corresponding maintenance measures are taken and the relevant requirements are
met.
3. If electric pump is not used for a long time, it should not be immersed in the water. The electric pump shall be
placed in clean water and run several minutes to remove coagulations inside and outside of the pump, after which
the pump shall be dried, subjected to anti-rust treatment, and placed at dry and ventilated place. An electric pump
that has been in operation for a long time may need to be repainted and subjected to anti-rust treatment, depending
on the state of surface corrosion.
2. After 2000 hours of normal use of the electric pump, the electric pump shall be delivered to a qualified repair
station for maintenance and repair as per the following steps:
a) Disassembly: check the wearing parts, e.g. rolling bearings, mechanical seal and impeller, which must be
replaced if damaged.
b) Air pressure test: after electric pump is disassembled for repair or a seal is replaced, the motor cavity and seal
cavity must be subjected to air pressure test for at least 3 minutes, the test pressure is 0.2MPa, and no leakage or
sweating shall occur.
c) Oil replacement: remove the oiling screw at oil chamber, and replace used oil with No.10 white oil for food grade
machinery to reach 95% of the volume of the chamber.
