6) Do a check of the opening pressure as follows:
a) Set the pressure to 350 bar, then push the INJECT button.
b) Make sure that no calibration fluid comes out of the nozzle.
c) Set the pressure to 450 bar, then push the INJECT button.
d) Make sure that calibration fluid comes out of the nozzle as a spray.
1.4 Results
1) For the correct function and to use an injection valve again, read the data below:
D The opening pressure is between 200and 300 bar, refer to the test above.
D For used injection valves, a pressure decrease of 30 bar is permitted.
D Most of the calibration fluid will come out as a spray from the top set of holes
in the nozzle tip at the specified opening pressure.
D At the end of an injection, no calibration fluid must come out of the nozzle.
2) If the injection valve does not operate satisfactorily, disassemble as given in
paragraph 2 .
3) Release the pressure in the test bench (94272) and HP hose (94272F).
You must replace nozzle tips that have worn holes. It is possible, but not
recommended, to replace the nozzle tip with the needle installed. If it is necessary to
do this, do the procedure carefully.
Only the injection valve manufacturer, or an authorized company can repair or replace
nozzle holders, Intermediate plates and nozzle bodies that have unsatisfactory
sealing surfaces.
2. Disassemble
1) Make sure that the test bench and HP hose have no pressure.
2) Remove the receiver (2,
Fig. 1 ) from the valve holder (94273).
3) Make sure that the HP hose (94275) is disconnected from the connecting
piece (94272B).
4) Put the special tool of the test bench on to the nut (8, Fig. 2 ) .
5) Use the test bench to loosen the nut (8).
6) Remove the sleeve (9), the nozzle tip (10) and the O
− rings (4, 5, 6, 7).
7) Put the nut (8) on to the nozzle holder.
8) Attach the bush(94289B) as shown.
9) Attach the tool (94289) and turn it clockwise to remove the pilot valve (11).
10) Remove the bush (94289B).
Note: The needle and nozzle body are machined together so that their sealing
surfaces have the same contours. You must keep these items together. If it
is necessary to replace the needle or the nozzle body, you must replace the
two items. Do not replace only one item.
11) If it is necessary to remove the nozzle tip from the nozzle body, do the procedure in
paragraph 4 .
