O PERAT ING INSTRUCT IONS
A. FILL IN G T HE SOLU TION TA NK :
1.
Rem ove clear dome from recovery tank.
2.
Lift upper recovery tank from m achine and set
aside.
3.
Use a clean bucket or hose to fill solution tank with
hot water. The solution tank holds 4 gallons (15.2
liters) of cleaning solution.

imen t in th e reco very tan k can d amage the so lu tio n p ump
and clo g th e spray jets, ren derin g th e machine ino perable.
4.
Add a non-foam ing concentrate for use in hot
water extractors at the proportions noted on the
container.
Note: Periodically operate extractor with only hot water to re-
move chemical residue in carpet.

5.
Place recovery tank back on m achine.
6.
Place dome on recovery tank. Make sure dome is
seated correctly to ensure proper vacuum seal.
Use o nly the su itable chemicals listed abo ve. Using in -
compatible chemicals will d amage th e machine. C arefu lly
read in gred ien ts o n man ufactu rer’s lab el b efore usin g an y
prod uct in th is machine.

OPERATING THE MACHINE
1.
Vacuum the carpet and make sure it is cleared of
surface debris before cleaning.
2.
Plug pow er cord into a grounded w all outlet.
Defeating the grou nd in g p in o n th e p ower cord can result
in a severe electrical sh oc
k.
3.
Turn on the pump, brush and vacuum
sw itches, listening for each m otor to turn on.
NOT E: T he vacuum and the brush are protected by circuit
breakers located on the back panel, below their respective
sw itch.
NOT E: If either of these motors does not respond to being
sw itched on, reset the circuit breakers by pressing them in, and
attempt to switch the machine on again.

NOT E: If solution does not dispense in an even pattern across
the w idth of the m achine, the spray jet may be clogged. Tilt
the machine back and remove the spray tip by pushing in and
turning it one quarter turn. Wash it thoroughly, and blow dry.
NOT E: Do not use pins, wire, etc. to clean spray jet nozzle as
this w ill deform the jet and destroy the spray pattern.
6.
Begin w ith the machine at the edge of the carpet.
Actuate the solution lever w hile pulling the machine
backwards. R elease solution lever at least 12
inches before the end of each cleaning pass. This
will ensure all dispensed cleaning solution is
extracted from carpet.

up in th e reco very tan k. If excessive fo am is present, add
a d efoamer so lu tio n to reco very tan k, or emp ty tan k.
7.
Empty recovery tank w hen approxim ately 3/4 full.
If the recovery tank is overfilled, the w ater will drain
back onto the carpet when the vacuum is sw itched
off.
8.
Ventilate area after carpet has been cleaned.
Keep children and pets away and do not walk
on carpet until it is dry.

OP ERATING MACHINE WITH
ACCESS ORY TOOLS
This extractor is easily adapted for use the following
Windsor accessory tools: D HT-U PH3-SW -SF W-SW /PR O-
DD H-SPW
1.
Lift flap on the front of vac shoe and insert hose cuff
into the vac shoe, ensuring that there is a tight fit.
2.
Attach the solution hose from accessory tool to the
brass solution fitting on the front of m achine.
3.
Switch on the pum p and the vacuum. The ap-
plication of cleaning solution is now controlled by
the lever on the accessory tool.
Do not switch on brush when operating th e machine
with accessory tools. C arpet damage may occur.
NOT E: T he solution pum p is not intended to run dry. W hen
using the extractor for vacuum pick-up only, insure that the
pump sw itch is turned off.
