6 Description and function
6.1 Description of the pump
The pump is fitted with a glandless motor (single-phase (1~) or three-phase
(3~),
for mains connection voltage and mains frequency see the rating plate
,
in which all the rotating parts are in contact with the fluid. The design relies on
the fluid to provide lubrication for the plain bearings of the rotor shaft.
The motor is multi-speed. Speed switching is executed in different ways
depending on the terminal box. This is performed either by a speed selection
switch, by plugging in the switching plug differently or by internally or exter-
nally jumpering the contacts (See Commissioning/Switching Over the Speed).
A suitable switching plug is available as an accessory for 3 ~230 V.
