To Complete:
Build a brick or concrete enclosure around fireplace, and then apply the finishing
materials, such as tiles, stones, bricks, granite or marble.
Chimney System:
Chimney pipe diameter will vary depending on the length of the entire chimney.

We don’t recommend building chimney with bricks or blocks. Use metal chimney pipe.
1.
Attach chimney pipe anchor plate to top of hood assembly. Seal base plate with high
temperature stove cement.
2.
Seal all gaps with high temperature stove cement.
3.
In the case of using round tubing directly into the hood, grout gaps around pipe with refractory
grout leaving no remaining space between the tube and the chimney pipe.
4.
Place approved spark arrestor chimney cap on top of chimney pipe (check local codes). All
chimneys systems to be UL listed for solid fuel burning. Contact mechanical sales for your chimney

5.
Finish building a wall of bricks or blocks.
Surround Suggestion:
First build a wall of common bricks or blocks and Type S mortar as per local
codes, or use metal studs and cement board .Apply stone or brick veneer.
