6.3 REMARKS 

 
 

Fixed Pattern Noise Correction: 
Static FPN correction: 

In order to use the static fixed pattern noise correction cover the lens and activate the FPN correction 
using the FPAUTO command with the proper value. After the CAMACK the correction is done and the 
lens cover can be removed. When using the FPN command it could be necessary to readjust the 
blacklevel. The FPAUTO command must be executed after every change in the analog gain settings. 
 

Dynamic FPN correction: 

The dynamic FPN correction can always be activated. No covering of the sensor is required, the 
dynamic fpn correction works autonomously from the analog gain settings. 
 

AGC: 

The integration time can not be changed while the AGC is running. 
 

WBAUTO: 

WBAUTO=0001activates the automatic whitebalance, which can be detected using the 
$STATUS=0013 (result=1), $STATUS=0016 (result=red) and $STATUS=0017 (result=blue) 
commands.  
If $WBAUTO=0002 or $WBAUTO=0003 is executed, this is not really a whitebalance. It’s more 
programming the standard wbred and wbblue registers with new fixed values. This can be checked by 
reading the $STATUS=0013(result=0), $STATUS=0003(result=red) and $STATUS=0004 
(result=blue).
