ENG

7. Operation

Position the mixing container on a horizontal, stable and secure surface.
Place the materials to be mixed in the  mixing  container in accordance with the recommendations

provided by the manufacturer of the materials.
3) Check the mixer and particularly the security of the attached mixing paddle.
4) Place the mixing paddle in the mixing container.
5) Adopt a secure stance holding the mixer with both hands.
6) Choose  two speed  position  by  two  speed  control  and  with  the  lowest  speed  setting  selected
depress the trigger. Switch to start the motor slowly.
7) Be prepared for the impact of the torque forces especially on start up.
8) Adjust the speed of the motor to give optimum mixing performance.
9) During mixing, guide the mixing paddle around the mixing container

(See Fig 6)

.

10) Continue mixing until the required material consistency is achieved.
11) Release the switch trigger and allow the mixing paddle to come to a complete stop.
12) Remove the mixing paddle from the mixing container.

Warning: If the mixing paddle comes into contact with the bottom or side(s) of the mixing

container during mixing operations ‘kick back’ can be experienced.

WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR POWER TOOL

1. When  using  this  power  tool  for mixing  liquid,  or  dry powdered  or  granulated  materials,  follow
material manufacturer instructions and precautions.

Do not run the power tool on a stand.

Avoid splashing around the material being stirred to prevent slipping and losing control over the power

tool.

Avoid prolonged use of the power tool at lower speeds. Otherwise the motor of the power tool could

overheat.
2. Selection of the stirrer paddle is dependent on the material that is to be stirred.
3. For  materials  with  low  viscosity,  e.  g.  emulsion paint,  varnishes,  adhesive,  grouting  compound,
cement  slurry,  use  a  stirrer  paddle  with  a  left hand spiral.  The  material  is  moved  from  the  top
downwards in a stirrer paddle with a left-hand spiral. The stirrer paddle is pushed upwards. Materials
with low viscosity are mixed in a way which minimizes splattering.
4. For materials with high viscosity, e. g. plaster, concrete, cement, screed, filler, epoxy resin, use a
stirrer paddle with right-hand spiral. The material is moved from the bottom upwards in a stirrer paddle
with a right-hand spiral. The stirrer paddle works its way into the mixture. Materials with high viscosity
are mixed thoroughly.
5. While mixing, move the power tool in an up and down motion. Clean the stirrer paddle after use.

MAINTENANCE

Warning: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing

or maintenance.

1. Keep the power tool ventilation slots clean and free from obstructions. If available, blow compressed
air  into  the  vents  to  clear  any  internal  dust  (safety  goggles  must  be  worn  when  undertaking  this
process).
2. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
3. Your power tool requires no additional lubrication.
