B96G8W AND B93G8W DISASSEMBLY GUIDE
Fixings:
There are five screw types associated with this appliance:
(A) (B) (C) (D) (E)
A – general common fixing screw, found in a multitude of locations
B – Countersunk screw, found holding metal front panel (part 51) to the plastic front housing (part 67)
C – earthing screw, found in four locations (2 holding earth wires to side panel; 2 holding front panel to side panel)
D – top cover location screws, found in two locations on the top of the cabinet holding the top cover onto the dryer
E – motor mounting bracket fixing screws, found in four locations holding the motor brackets to the base of the dryer
Tools required:
PZ1 type screwdriver
Thin
‐ nose pliers
14mm socket set and extension
Terminal screwdriver
In order to replace:
•
The PCB in the control panel, follow steps 1 ‐ 3.
•
The door assembly and door microswitch, follow steps 1 ‐ 6.
•
The capacitor, follow steps 1 ‐ 13.
•
The heater, follow steps 1, 9 and 10. Underneath the insulation, remove 9 screws (A) from the cover to release the heater
assembly.
•
The drum, follow steps 1 ‐ 20.
•
The belt, follow steps 1 ‐ 20 and 26 ‐ 28.
•
The heat exchanger microswitch, follow steps 1 ‐ 20.
•
The motor, follow steps 1 ‐ 37.
•
The belt pulley, follow steps 1 ‐ 20, 26 ‐ 28 and 36.
•
The pump, follow steps 1 ‐ 25, 29 ‐ 31 and 38 ‐ 42.
ONCE REPAIRED, ALWAYS ENSURE THAT ELECTRICAL SAFETY CHECKS ARE CARRIED OUT
