2 Halogen Lightheads: Installation
This kit will add Takedown Lights to your LFL lightbar.
WARNING!The strobe light power supply is a high voltage
device. Do not remove the strobe tubes or
dismantle the strobe lightheads in the system
while the unit is in operation. Wait 10 minutes
after turning off power before starting work on
the system.
1. Disconnect the unit from power and remove one of the endcaps.
Remove the 4 endcap screws, endcap and gasket from the
extrusion. Unplug the alley lights if they are present (Fig. 2).
2. Slide the lenses and spacers out of the front of the lightbar, so
that you can access the section of the bar that the takedown lights
are located (Fig. 5). Lay the lenses down on your work area in the
order that you removed them for easy reassembly.
3. Locate the lighthead housings you want to add lights to.
The connectors of the internal lightbar harness that you
will need to access are all positioned in the
appropriate
housings
for
their
function.
Takedown connectors are labeled “TD”.
4. Plug the connectors from the lightbar into the
lighthead connectors and then install the
lightheads into the housings by snapping the
tabs on the lighthead into the clips on the lighthead
housing (Fig. 4).
5. Reassemble the lightbar and replace the endcap (Fig.
1) and the installation is complete.
