A Known Windows Networking Issue
We’ve observed that certain builds of WindowsXP exhibit inconsistent behavior
during either the IP address configuration process or later during attempts to con
‑
nect to the AM‑10HD with the GUI. In most cases this is due to old data being in
the PC’s ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) cache – the first place Windows looks
for how to connect to a networked device.
The ARP cache can be cleared manually at a command line, but it’s much easier
done using the built in tools within Windows. To do this, open the Windows Network
Connections dialog:
Next, highlight the Local Area Connection and then right click it. A drop down
menu similar to the following will appear:
