7.2 Flat Case Height (Dimension ‘B’)

To adjust the machine to the correct Dimension 'B' setting:
1. Loosen the two light blue quick-adjust locking handles that secure the collar assembly on
the mast. See Figure 7-3.

2. Raise or lower the position of the collar assembly by using the crank handle located at
base of mast. A light blue scale for Dimension 'B' is located on the mast assembly guide
track. See Figure 7-3.
3. First, retighten the collar quick-adjust handle located behind the column on the side
opposite the ‘B’ adjustment crank.
4. Then retighten the second collar quick-adjust handle. Always check the setting
afterwards, as the collar sometimes moves slightly when this is done.
5. You can check the collar setting by pushing a flat case down into the caliper slot, onto the
injector drive plate.

The top of the case should just reach the separator drive angle plate when it is in
the fully
DOWN
position.
•
Running clearance should be approximately ¼” (6 mm), as shown in Figure 7-6.
