Operation
Intended Use
The LED floodlight is intended for illuminating house entrances, drive-
ways, etc. It may be installed indoor and in outdoor areas. The LED
floodlight is splashwaterproof (IP44).
Any other use than that described above may damage the product.
Moreover, this may give rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire,
electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modified or converted!
Preparations for Installation
The product may only be installed by a qualified technician (e.g. electri-
cian) who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German
electrical wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only
your own life but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not
install it yourself but ask a qualified technician.
Observe the safety instructions!
Without fail, pay attention to the correct mounting position of the LED
floodlight and the connection cable. If installed outdoors, make sure no
water can enter the housing when installing the connection cable.
The LED floodlight should not be operated near water and other liquids,
or in locations where water and other liquids may accumulate. Please
keep a minimum distance of 5 m to swimming pools, ponds etc.
The floodlight must not be mounted on or near flammable surfaces.
The LED floodlight should not be mounted near flammable and moving
objects, such as furniture, decorative material, curtains, candles, etc.
Mount the LED floodlight only on a stable surface (wall/ceiling). The
installation site must be stable and must not be exposed to vibrations.
Depending on the substrate, use suitable screws and dowels.
The LED floodlight must be protected on the sub-distribution board by a
10/16A fuse. An earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed before
this (FI protective switch).
The LED floodlight must be disconnected from the power supply during
installation. It is
not
sufficient to just turn off at the light switch!
