Operation
Inserting the Batteries
1. Lift the fastening clip (1) up and pull it from the
unit.
2. Insert two batteries (2x 1.5 V LR03 / AAA) into the
unit. Observe correct polarity. The polarity is
printed on the housing of the unit.
3. Reattach the clip until it snaps in place with an
audible click. The on/off button (2) is located on
the fastening clip. Use this button to turn the LED
(3) on and off.
Operation
1. For function control, lead the detector to a
voltage-carrying wall socket. The measuring
tip (5) of the detector lights up and you will
hear a sound. Otherwise check the batteries.
2. Hold the measuring tip next to the object to
be tested, insert it into a wall socket or move
it along a power cable. If the tip does not light
up, the cable or socket is dead. If the tip
interrupts the signal at a certain point, the
connection is interrupted at that point. That
way, you can also detect buried cables.
