6.5A Orbital Jig Saw
SETTING THE BEVEL CUTTING ANGLE
Bevel cutting angles may be adjusted up to 45°
towards the left or right. To adjust the bevel angle:
1. Loosen both base pivot screws (1) until the base
(2) can be rotated (Fig.2).
NOTE:
Use the supplied 1/8" (3mm) hex key.
2. Bevel angles (3) are marked on a scale located
on the side of the base (Fig.3).
3. Slide the base toward the rear of the jigsaw and
align the bevel angle index mark (4) with the
desired bevel angle on the base.
4. Slide the base forward to engage the bevel angle
slot (5) with the indexing pin (6) (Fig.4)
NOTES:
a) Use a protractor to check the bevel angle
between the blade and the base. b) To set the bevel
angle at intermediate angles, do not slide the base
forward.
5. Once the desired bevel angle is obtained, lock
the base by tightening base pivot screws.
6. Make a test cut in a scrap piece of material and
measure the bevel angle. Readjust the bevel
angle if necessary.
