10.3. GENERAL CONNECTION PROBLEMS
Error: No CAN Communication, Please RESET Communication
After correctly setting the configuration selection (see Section 2.4.1 - Using
WEST with a CM850 ) and clicking OK, the following error appears at the
bottom of WEST: “No CAN Communication, Please RESET Communication!”
a. See section on “Error: [COMM:ok][CAN:ok][ECU:No Communication]”
b. If the problem continues, disconnect the dongle from the dash harness
for one minute. Reconnect the dongle and click RESET at the lower
right hand corner of WEST.
Error: Project Name Mismatch! Project Revision Mismatch
“Project Name Mismatch! Project Revision Mismatch”:
a. The wrong A2W file was used. Go to Load Configuration (A2W)
under the File menu and make sure that the correct A2W file is used.
see Section 4.2 - Load Configuration for details.
Error: An error has occurred while establishing a connection
to the server
This failure may occur when connecting to SQL Server 2005. Under the
default settings, SQL Server does not allow remote connections (Fig. 10.2).
This is caused by a missing or disabled component built into Windows. To
resolve this problem, please download and install Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Express Edition, which can be found at the Microsoft website at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/
