1. Product Description

1.1 Introduction

Westlab’s Multipurpose Laboratory Centrifuge is equipped with a maintenance-free BLDC

motor drive and a large LED display for efficient operation. The Intuitive interface allows

for the quick and easy setting of parameters without compromising on convenience.

With the capability to deliver up to 4500 RPM for all compatible rotors, the centrifuge’s

speed can be programmed by RPM or RCF mode. The short spin property allows

for ultra-fast short centrifugation and pelleting. The adjustable timer setting allows

the user to set the timer from 1 to 99 minutes with an infinite mode. For added

convenience, the one touch toggle feature allows the user to toggle between RCF

and RPM modes with just a touch of a button.

The centrifuge’s microprocessor control enables quick and easy programming in

addition to its enhanced performance and efficiency. Featuring nine acceleration and

nine deceleration modes for a customised operation, the unit can halt and resume

operations without disturbing fragile samples. To protect the samples further, the

centrifuge’s intelligently designed airflow system ensures that the temperature of

the specimens does not rise significantly.

For the operator’s safety, the centrifuge includes an emergency lid release for during

a power outage. Once the power has been restored, the last run memory attribute will

restore operation. Additionally, a lid lock safety feature ensures that the lid of the unit

cannot be opened while the rotor is still running.

1.2 Intended Use

Ideal for use in laboratories to separate particles from liquid suspension according

to their density. The different biological substances that are usually separated by

centrifugation are cells, mammalian cells, organelles, etc.
