Install battery-powered carbon monoxide detectors or
plug-in carbon monoxide detectors with battery back-up
in living areas.
Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES.
Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide. This is a
poison you cannot see or smell.

connect to
a building’s electrical system unless the generator
and transfer switch have been properly installed and
the electrical output has been verified by a qualified
electrician. The connection must isolate the generator
power from utility power and must comply with all
applicable laws and electrical codes.

Electrocution hazard. Never use the generator in a
location that is wet or damp. Never expose the generator
to rain, snow, water spray, or standing water while in
use. Protect the generator from all hazardous weather
conditions. Moisture or ice can cause a short circuit or
other malfunction in the electrical circuit.
