Operation
4. Do not leave the unit unattended for long period of time. When the
water tank is full, empty it.
5. Switch off the dehumidifier manually after work. The motor will turn for
some seconds. If the unit in not in operation, always unplug from
power mains.
Hints on Operation
▪
The optimal ambient temperature for dehumidifying the air is 5° C to
32° C
. Using a dehumidifier at temperatures below 5° C is redundant,
as there is little humidity in the air.
▪
Select this programme for sustained dehumidification at a comfortable
relative humidity of 55 %.
▪
During operation, room temperature can increase by between 1° C and
4° C, depending on the size of the room. This is normal.
▪
After a power failure, if the unit is disconnected from the mains, or after
switching off owing to the overheating protection, the unit starts in the
mode last selected.
▪
If the timer has been activated, the unit will
switch off definitively upon
lapse
of the time specified (1 – 24 hours).
▪
The values defined for relative humidity (rh) are recognised, allowing
for a deviation of approx. ±3 %. This is necessary so that the unit does
not constantly switch itself on and off.
The rh values specific to AUTO-
MATIC mode are not identical to the values HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW on
the display.
▪
If the relative humidity (rh) is permanently set to value (e. g. 55 %), the
com
pressor effects dehumidification until this value has been attained,
and then the unit will be switched off. If relative humidity again increas-
es, the compressor will switch on again. In the setting CO the unit will
work permanently.
In this programme, the unit works at 3 distinct levels of intensity:
– rh above 70 %: The unit dehumidifies at the highest level.
– rh between 55 % and 70 %: The unit works at standard intensity.
– rh below 55 %: No dehumidification; only the fan continues to run.
