Before first Use
Remove the chain saw and all accessories out of the packing and check all
parts for damage in transit. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.
There is risk of suffocation.
Assembling the sword and the saw chain
Always use gloves when handling the chain.
Place the machine on a level surface. Remove the cover (12) by screwing
the screw cap cover (13) counter clockwise.
Slide the chain into the slot of the sword. Observe the right running
direction. On the sword you will find a symbol with chain links. Make sure
to correctly position the chain links, so the links match the symbol.
Insert the long hole of the sword (1) over the sword guide ridge (17) and
the chain tensioning borehole (18) into the chain tensioning bolt (21).
Reattach the cover on the motor housing and tighten the screw cap by
turning clockwise.
Tighten the chain with the included spanner by turning the chain
tensioning screw (19) inwards. The screw is situated on the left side close
to the sword. By turning the chain tensioning screw inwards, the chain
tensioning bolt (21) and the sword move forwards and the chain is ten-
sioned.
