Operation
AC Current Measurements
The measuring clamp can measure the
current by measuring the magnetic field
around a live conductor. This does not work if
phase (usually black) and neutral (usually
blue) are measured together. Place the
clamp only around one wire.
1. First, remove the measuring cables!
2. Open the clamp with the clamp opening
button (7) and place it around the wire
you intend to measure. To close the clamp, release the
button. Place the conductor as close as possible to the
middle of the clamp and try to hold it steadily during measur-
ing.
3. The current value is displayed. If the selected measuring
range is too small, a “1” is displayed as overflow indicator. In
such a case switch to the next higher measuring range
(2>20>400 A).
Please make sure not to exceed 400 Ampere!
