Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning
Always pull the power plug before undertaking cleaning work.
Clean the machine after each use. Remove dust and chips
from the feed table and the planing table. Only clean and
smooth tables can guide the stock smoothly.
Remove chips and dust from the machine after the machine
has come to complete standstill. Clean the machine with a
hand broom or a soft brush.
Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could damage
the plastic parts. Ensure that no water can enter into the
machine.
After extended use and depending on the wood which has
been machined, resin residue will accumulate on the knives
and the knife block. Use a soft cloth and lighter fuel or an
appropriate resin remover to wipe the knives and the knife
block clean. Clean the following parts at regular intervals:
- feed table, planing table, thicknessing table, feed/discharge
rollers, anti-kick claws as well as the knife, latch and knife
block.
The ventilation slots on the back side of the machine must be
kept clean and free from obstructions at all times.
