Maintenance and Cleaning
Before undertaking any work on the electric planer, pull the power plug.
Remove all wood chips from the planing debris opening (3) and the ventilation
slots (11). Make sure the blade shaft (17) cannot be blocked. For cleaning the
planing debris opening use a suitable too (e. g. wooden stick or compressed
air).
Do not use aggressive chemicals, abrasives, solvents or liquids to clean the
machine. Use only a soft, slightly moistened cloth.
Regularly check all screws for tightness.
Make sure the planing blades are sharp and correctly adjusted.
Have a damaged power cable replaced by a professional.
Occasionally check the condition of the drive belt and replace the drive belt if
necessary.
Only attempt to repair the machine yourself if you have the necessary skills.
