Maintenance and Inspection
Never repair or maintain the universal lifting device while it is loaded.
The universal lifting device should be inspected prior to use concerning any
damage or faults. Also listen for unusual sounds which may indicate trouble.
Frequently check the lifting device by operating with and without a load,
stopping at various positions to test that the load is being held correctly. If the
load moves or slips the lifting device should be taken out of service and
repaired.
Immediately replace the lifting rope in case of any damage.
Cleaning and Storing
Wipe the parts of the lifting device with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not
immerse it into liquids.
Store the universal lifting device indoors in a dry place that is protected from
dust, dirt and extreme temperatures.
