Using
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunction and
damage:
ƒ Do not direct the unit to people and do not point the LED light directly
at the eyes of humans. The unit do not belong in the hands of children.
ƒ Do not test the unit on already trained dogs. This could confuse the
dogs. In addition of using the unit, always be cautious when approach-
ing strange dogs. Please note that due to unpredictability with animal
behaviour we cannot absolutely guarantee that the unit will effectively
deter all dogs.
ƒ Do not disassemble the unit and do not try to repair it yourself. The
unit does not contain parts serviceable by you.
ƒ Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, humidity, dust, dirt, high
temperature and strong light.
Inserting the Battery
1. Remove the battery compartment lid (1) on the backside of the unit by
pushing the lid away. Insert a 9 V battery, observing right polarity and
close the battery compartment.
2. Press the button (4) or (3) to make a function test. If the LED light
turns on or flashes, the unit is working efficiently.
When pressing the button for ultrasound emission (4) the unit emits
ultrasound waves and the LED light flashes continuously. Keep the
button pressed for approx. 5 seconds. If necessary, press the button
again.
Use the train button (5) in conjunction with verbal and hand commands
to deter unwanted behaviour of your dog.
Cleaning and Storing
ƒ Do not use abrasives to clean the dog chaser in order not to damage
the surface.
ƒ Take the battery out of the unit if you do not use it for a longer period
of time. Check the battery and functionality of the unit approx. every 2
months.
