Operation
Operating Speed
Different jobs require different operating speeds. The rotary tool is a high
speed tool, but some materials are molten by the high temperatures generated
by rapidly revolving tools. The rotary tool has a usable operating range of
between 5000 and 25000 RPM.
Buffing and polishing, as well as machining plastic should be done at relatively
low speeds.
Wood and metal should be machined at high speeds.
