5. The correct way to hold the machine is to grip the casing towards the nose
firmly with thumb and index finger, just like holding a pen. Take care not to
cover the ventilation slots on the side cover of the machine. A whining noise
before start up is normal and no reason for concern.
Maintenance and Cleaning
ƒ First pull the power plug before cleaning the drill and milling machine.
ƒ
Use a brush or similar to clean the ventilation slots.
ƒ Use a dry or slightly moist cloth to clean the machine. Do not use aggressive
chemicals such as bleach or solvents such as petrol to clean the machine.
ƒ Never immerse the machine in water!
ƒ Store the drill and milling machine in a dry location and protect it from dust
and dirt.
