Start Up and Operation
- wrong cable connection (polarity)
- simultaneous connection of inverter and charger to the battery
- connection of the inverter to a power source larger than 15 V
Adding Extension Cords
We strongly advise against adding an extension cord between the supplying
battery and the inverter; instead we advise to add the extension cord between
the inverter and the connected advice.
Grounding the Inverter
PLEASE NOTICE: Before use, the inverter must be grounded against the
supplying vehicle. Please notice that the unit is only suitable for use in vehicles
which are wired with minus against ground. The unit can only be used in
vehicles which are wired with minus against ground.
On the rear plate of the inverter a connector is located next to the ventilation
slots. This connector is connected to the metal housing as well as to earth
conductor clamp of the 230 V socket.
It is advisable to use a green and yellow wire to avoid confusion, which might
invite accidents.
Simply connect the grounding cable to any part of the metal body of your car.
Changing the Fuse
If
- the power consumption of the connected device is too high, or
- the connected device is defective and leads to a short circuit,
it can happen that the fuse blows. In this case remove the cover labelled
“Fuse” and replace the blown fuse with one of the same type and dimensions
(Fuse 20 A). Use suitable pliers to pull the fuse.
When taking output voltage measurements, please keep in mind that your
measuring instrument measures root mean square values (RMS). Otherwise
the displayed values do not correspond to the actual value.
