Assembling the Guide Bar and the Saw Chain
Always wear gloves when handling the saw chain.
1. Remove the cover by unscrewing the hex nut with the included wrench. Turn
the hex nut counter clockwise in order to remove.
2. Slide the chain into the slot of the guide bar
of (16) the pruner attachment. Observe the
right running direction. Please note the
correct chain running direction. On the
guide bar you will find the chain link
symbol. Make sure the chain links match
the chain link symbol.
3. Re-attach the cover on the motor housing
and slightly tighten the hex nut with the
included wrench. Check the chain tension
while tightening the nut.
4. Tighten the saw chain with the included
wrench.
For tightening the chain turn the chain
tensioning bolt inwards. By turning the
chain tensioning bolt inwards, the chain will
be tensioned.
Please note, the chain should not be too
loose, but you should be able to lift it off
the guide bar by a few millimetres.
