RECEIVE AUDIO CONNECTION OPTIONS
In this section we will describe the three most common ways of getting audio from your radio to your
Computer Sound Card. Remember only one of these methods may be used at any given time.
Method 1
In this example, audio is taken from the External Speaker jack of the radio, routed to the
RIGblaster pro
,
then onto both the computer and the Radio External Speaker. The only downside to this method is that
the audio level is dependent on the AF Gain setting and thus may require adjustment each time you
operate.
Method 2
In this example, fixed level audio (unaffected by the setting of the AF Gain setting) is taken from the
Accessory, the phone patch or data out jack of the radio and routed to the
RIGblaster pro
, then onto the
computer Sound Card. The advantage of this method is that the audio level is fixed requiring little if any
adjustment of your audio settings after initial setup.
