1. Unplug cord from electrical outlet.
2. To remove the cutting attachment, raise piercing lever and gently pull towards
you.
3. Wash cutting attachment in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly; or the
cutting attachment may be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher.
4. Wipe the can opener body and the area behind cutting head attachment with a
damp cloth. Never immerse the can opener in water.
5. To re-assemble, hold the lever at an angle and slide the cutting head
attachment shaft into the hole in the can opener body, lower lever.

If there is a bump, dent, or heavy seam in the rim of the can, open the other end
of the can or start cutting just beyond the problem area.
•
To use the cord storage in the back of the opener, push cord in or out as needed.
• If piercing lever does not move freely, remove and clean the cutting attachment.
•
Shredded labels, metal shavings, or poor cut can be caused by infrequent
cleaning. Wash the cutting attachment and geared wheel regularly.
