5.5 Installation and assembly
Warning
Install the device on a firm and stable, non-slipping surface.
The base of the device must be fully supported and positioned at least
20 cm awayfrom the front and rear edges of the worktop, and 50 cm from
the right and left edges of the worktop. Above the device, there must be
a clearance of at least 100 cm to ensure proper ventilation and fire safety.
Do not position the device in a highly frequented area or corridor.
The device owner must ensure that the workplace of the device meets the
general health & safety standards.
5.6 Commissioning
5.6.1 Start-up
Remove all packaging and protective material before setting up the TOPITEC ® AUTOMATIC
(see chapter 5.3.1.1). The TOPITEC
®
AUTOMATIC must be placed on a level and firm surface.
When choosing the location of installation, observe the information in section 5.5 (Installation
and assembly).
The TOPITEC ® AUTOMATIC is not designed for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.
When handling and using hazardous substances, always strictly adhere to the relevant safety
requirements. For more information, refer to the BAK Guidelines and the German Hazardous
Substances Ordinance.
• Connect the power cord to the mains filter socket at the rear of the device.
• Connect the plug of the power cable to the mains socket. Ensure that the
power socket is correctly earthed!
• Switch on the device, following the instructions in chapter 6.
The power cable socket of the TOPITEC ® AUTOMATIC is located at the rear of the device.
Compare the mains voltage with the rated voltage of the system (230 V).
The mains plug should always be easily accessible.
