MAINTENANCE
Proper routine maintenance will help prolong the life of the machine. Please perform maintenance checks ac-
cording to the schedule below. If there are any questions about the maintenance procedures listed in this manual,
please call (800) 232-1195 M-F 8-5CT.
It is best practice to drain your carburetor after every use.
Always drain before storage. Do not store the rammer with fuel inside the tank for more than 2
months. Run the rammer for 15 minutes a month to maximize its lifespan.
CAUTION: Never perform maintenance operations while the rammer is running.

STOPPING THE ENGINE
1. Bring the throttle lever quickly from the MAX THROTTLE position to the MIN. THROTTLE position (Fig.
4). Run the engine for 3 to 5 minutes at low speed.
2. Once the engine temperature has had a chance to cool down, switch the engine switch to the OFF position (Fig.
3 - 2). Close the fuel shut-off valve (Fig. 3 - 1) by moving the fuel cock lever to the CLOSED position (Fig. 6).
FOR EMERGENCY SHUTDOWNS, move the throttle to the idle position and turn the engine switch OFF.
CAUTION
: Allowing gasoline to sit in the fuel tank for long periods of time can make it dif-
ficult to start the rammer in the future. Never store the rammer for extended periods of time
with fuel in the fuel tank. Refer to Storage Section.
WARNING
: Allow the unit to cool for several minutes before touching areas that
become hot during use.
