• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
• If you use the
Pro-Straight Color
in a bathroom, always pull out
the mains plug afterwards because of the safety risks when it is
close to water.
• Additional protection is afforded by installing a residual current
device with a rated tripping current of less than 30 mA in your
home electrical system. We recommend you get an electrician to
install a residual current protection system to protect the
circuits.
DANGER:
Fire risk!
• Never leave the
Pro-Straight Color
unattended when
it is switched on.
• Never place the
Pro-Straight Color
on paper wipes, towels or
similar items when it is switched on; always place it on a firm,
level and heat-resistant surface.
• In view of the risk of overheating and fire, never place towels or
similar items on top of the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance close to flammable gases, e.g. the spray
from an aerosol. Do not allow any aerosols or flammable gases to
get near the heating plates.
• The appliance is protected against overheating. It switches off
automatically if it overheats. Pull out the mains plug and let the
appliance cool down. Consult your Customer Service Centre.
General safety information
DANGER:
• Never use the appliance if:
– the appliance or cord are damaged.
– the appliance has fallen or been dropped, shows signs of
damage or is not functioning properly.
– the appliance is so badly damaged that electrical parts are
exposed.
– the appliance has fallen into or been dropped into water or
other liquids.
– foreign bodies have entered the appliance.
In all such cases, disconnect from the mains immediately and
inform Technical Customer Service.
• Check whether the mains voltage agrees with the voltage
specified on the rating plate (on the inside of one arm of the
appliance).
