The FU15 D consists of a frequency converter, a control for WEKA high frequency drives and the control for the feed
units for the high frequency wall saws FRIDA WS75 H and WS76 H. The FU 15 D is water cooled and thus is only
operated together with a WEKA high frequency machine, which is also water cooled.
Please only use clean tap water and for cooling the drive components
via a water hose (1/2“) and a quick connect
coupling (GARDENA) connect in following order:
Water supply
– FU15 D (regard the flowing direction marked with arrows) – drive machine
The FU15 D includes an intelligent control which adjusts the concerning parameters oft he connected drive machine
automatically. It is thus not required to adjust manually.

Before starting with your drilling or sawing work, connect the FU15D to a 400 V
– 3~ mains. Now connect the
converter with the drilling or sawing device. The FU15 D is fitted with a main switch. Only switch this on when all
components are connected. After switching on the main switch the systems software of the converter starts and
adjusts the referring parameters after recognizing the connected machine. This procedure takes approx. 30 seconds,
then the converter is ready to use.
The FU15D is regularly fitted with a 32 A CEE 5P plug for being able to transfer the maximum power fort he wall
saws. With the adaptor cable 32A coupling -16A plug (part no. 8705254) the converter can also be operated on a
16A socket.
Please note to reduce the value to 16A in the menu feature <CURRENT> for not overloading the mains.

The frequency converter FU15 D is equipped with a Bluetooth
®
-interface for an easy and safe implementation of
software updates (by means of the
„WEKA Service App“), as well as a display with a keypad for adjusting the
parameters and the displaying of operating data and faults.
Navigating through the menu items is done by pressing the buttons

short description of the button functions so that the operation is self-explanatory. At the footer for each menu item
the specific actions of the keys are explained, basically the complete menu is designed to be self-explanatory.

After the converter has been booted successfully it will show all compatible machines. Once
a machine has been connected the screen will automatically switch to the illustration of the
machine. The code „1~“ respectively „1P“ or „3~“ respectively „3P“ indicates whether the
converter has recognized single phase or three phase operation. When starting the machine
the screen will automatically switch to displaying the load conditions (working load of the
machine). When disconnecting the machine the screen will automatically show all
compatible machines again. By pressing
the user can manually toggle between
„HOME“ and „MASCHINE“ .
