The machine has to be set up in the following situations:
– If a different type of wire-end ferrule has to be processed
– Every time the machine is put into operation
If you want to switch to another type of wire-end ferrule,
you must first remove all of the wire-end ferrules still in the
crimping unit. To do this, please proceed as follows:
► Empty the vibrating conveyor bowl as described in sec-
tion 5.1.
► Continue to insert the used wire into the machine until
the wire is only stripped.
Now all wire-end ferrules are removed from the inside of
the crimping unit.
During set-up, the following settings must be checked and
adjusted if necessary:
– Vibrating conveyor bowl (replace, if necessary)
– Ferrule cross section
– Only LS: Crimp length at four positions
– Only LZ: Interchangeable funnel
The machine must be switched off for setting up.
The adjustment table on the front side of the vibrating con-
veyor bowl shows the required settings for the various fer-
rule variants.

5.1 Replacing the vibrating conveyor bowl
► Remove the fixing screw (figure 3.1, 15 ) of the vibrating
conveyor bowl.
► Rotate the vibrating conveyor bowl in an anti-clockwise
direction up to the stop.
► Lift the oscillating conveyor bowl upwards.
CAUTION
Risk of injury
You may get your hands crushed in between
the machine and the underside of the bowl
when placing the bowl.
► Always grip the vibrating conveyor bowl at
the top edges.
► Place the new vibrating conveyor bowl on the machine.
► Rotate the vibrating conveyor bowl in a clockwise direc-
tion up to the stop.
► Screw the fixing screw back on tightly.
► Use the adjustment table to check whether the ferrule
cross section setting needs adjusting.
